We’re delighted to be running The Yorkshire Ability Triathlon at Leeds Beckett University on Sunday May 19th. Focused on children aged 6-17 with neurodivergent and physical disabilities, the day is all about participation and showing young people that sport and activity is for everybody.
And you don’t need lots of fancy, expensive kit to get involved. Whether it’s swimming a short distance or completing full lengths, pedalling a specially adapted bike or cycling around the track, running a lap or getting pushed around in a chair, all entrants get a real triathlon experience and move at their own pace to the finish line.
With specially adapted equipment and dedicated volunteers, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to shine.
Our amazing volunteers make a difference on the day and help participants get the most out of their experience.
Support the Yorkshire Ability Triathlon and help us create an inclusive event for all.
Participants will have the exclusive use of a 21-metre pool and 400m athletics track to get a real triathlon experience - and everyone will receive a well-deserved medal and finishers t-shirt.
At the heart of the Yorkshire Ability Triathlon is a commitment to inclusivity and support. We recognise that every participant is unique, and we’re ready to go above and beyond to accommodate individual needs.
From specialised equipment to personal assistance, we ensure that everyone feels valued and empowered to do their best on the day. Whether you require additional assistance in the water or a guide on the run, we're here to help you reach your full potential.
Last year’s inaugural Yorkshire Ability Triathlon received 100% positive feedback from participants and their families - and this year we look forward to delivering an even bigger and better event that will create memories to last a lifetime.
